As a therapist, I create space and opportunity for you to explore behaviours, relationships, feelings, or thoughts which benefit you and those that trouble you or cause difficulty in your life.
I work alongside you to support you to develop deeper personal insight and awareness, better ways of understanding and coping with problems, and improve relationships, daily functioning, and quality of life.
Whether you are experiencing overwhelm, low mood, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or stress, together we can draw on your strengths, competence, and wisdom and create more ease in your life.
In our work together I will draw on 29 years of experience as a counsellor and training in many modalities including EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. I also draw upon knowledge of neuropsychology to help understand how the brain and the rest of the nervous system influence our behaviour and thoughts.
Most importantly, I hope to get to know you in your context and understand the unique strengths you carry and how I can support you to be your best person and live your best life. My hope is that our conversations feel comfortable, informal and supportive.
